Well my friends and fellow bloggers, I'm signing off for awhile. I'm heading down to Myrtle Beach, SC tomorrow. The boys and I are packing up the SUV and heading down Rt. 95 - 700 miles! I hope we have an easy trip (no traffic please) and I hope we're there before 8pm. I'm looking forward to our time at the beach, at the pool, spending time with family, going to some amusement type things, playing mini golf, going out to dinner, celebrating Sara's 21st birthday, doing crosswords, doing jigsaw puzzles, playing Bingo, reading some books, etc... I'll be back on 7/28 to attend two Bruce Springsteen concerts and then I head back to MB on 8/3 for another week & a half. Cya!

Wrestle Mania
I brought the camera outside tonight to try to take some individual pictures of the boys. I got a few decent pictures, but they were more goofy than anything and then the wrestling started! Amazingly, no one really got hurt and they were laughing their butts off as they wrestled all over the front yard. I have to check for grass stains, for sure! LOL.

Entrepeneurs?
How to make money on a warm summer day? Set up a drink stand! Matthew had a friend over and along with Andrew, they set up this stand at the end of our driveway. They were really working whoever was near them to come on over and buy a drink. They tried the garbage man and the postman, but neither came through. Bummer! They even had a neighbor give them $2 just for the heck of it. LOL. They called it a "crazy drink stand" because they were trying to mix juice with soda (yuck). They only ended up selling a few cans and juice jugs, but they ended up with $9 for an hour's worth of work. Not too shabby!

Severe Weather is the pits!
I'm so sick of this severe weather! We've had power outages, lots of leaves/branches in our yard and now this. From the pictures you can obviously see that a tree broke and hit our house. It was a tree that was hit by lightning a few years ago, but it didn't break then. Tonight, the high winds just snapped it and it fell on our house. Thankfully, I was at Walmart with the boys because Matthew would have been freaked out, big time, if he'd been here when it happened. We had the tree people come and get the tree off the house, but we're not 100% sure what the damage to the actual house is yet. *** sigh ***

Soccer & Father's Day!
Yesterday was our soccer tournament. It was a long, hot, crazy day.... BUT.... our team won the gold medal! We won with penalty kicks 3-2. Matthew & Andrew both scored for our team and I was one happy Mom! I'm glad soccer is over, but I'm sad that we won't see all the kids/parents each week (well some of them. LOL).
Today is Father's Day! Happy Father's day to all the dads out there, especially Jim who's a great day to Matt & Andrew. We've done gifts, had breakfast, mowed the lawn, helped the boys with water balloons, done some crosswords, showered and now it's time to watch the end of the US Open (let's see if Mr. Tiger Woods can hold onto his lead even with a bum knee). We also saw some baby deer today, so I'll share a picture. The wildlife never ceases around here. I'll have to try to get gator pictures in Myrtle beach to share. lol.

Happy Birthday to my Car
My Car is officially a year old this week. I can't believe it's been a whole year since we got it. I absolutely love it and have never regretted the decision to finally stop driving the van (which has retired to Myrtle Beach and is the official "Beach Mobile"). My car just had it's 15,000 check up (even though it's only at 14,000 - it had to be done before I leave for MB in a few weeks). It also got inspected today and had a nice wash. :)

Look! It's a Bear!
I was looking out the front of our house and saw a bear cross the road! I ran to get my camera, but the bear was starting to run through a neighbor's yard. I clicked a few times and was able to get this shot (you can see the bear thru the trees). If you click on the picture, you'll see a larger version and you can really see him! WOW!

Siberian Irises
First of all, is that how you make Iris plural? LOL! I had to walk around the yard yesterday since it was a bright, sunny day and take pictures of the flowers again. The Siberian Irises are in bloom and they are just so beautiful. They are awesome to take pictures of and I'm very proud of the shots I got of them yesterday, so I had to put them here on the blog.

How to know your husband is away.....
I had to take this picture the other night. Since DH is away on his guy's golf trip until Friday, I've been scrapping every day (not that I don't scrap when he's here. lol). But I've been taking over the kitchen counter and my stuff just keeps getting more invasive. I'd rather just leave it on the counter so that I don't have to keep going back over to the other side of the kitchen to retrieve it. Gosh, that sounds lazy. LOL. It's just nice to have everything "at hand" and I like to stand up at the counter to scrap. There have been days when my big cutter has ended up on the stove. Bad!

Quiet Weekend
Yesterday was *such* a nice day!
First off, we had a soccer game in the morning that I coached with another soccer parent. Jim is away on his "guy's golf trip" so he wasn't there. Our team played so well together, really put in the extra effort and won their first game. I was so thrilled and it set the mood for a really nice day! Of course, we had to call Dh to tell him that we won and I couldn't help but gloat a tiny bit that we did it when he wasn't here. ;)
The rest of the day was so nice. The boys played really well (together and alone) while I scrapped, listened to tunes, watched a few movies, putzed around on the computer and just relaxed. I even took a bubble bath last night, which was extremely relaxing. It's kind of nice to take the time out to do things like that from time to time.
Today, the weather is nicer and the boys are finally outside playing again (it stormed on and off yesterday). We have done a few puzzles, played a few games and now they have a neighbor friend over. I have been scrapping and will keep on doing so. I'm running a "Groovy Crop" on my yahoo Scrapping group and we're having a lot of fun. I really get into running these crops and have a fun time coming up with challenges. I'm going to share a few of my layouts from this weekend. :)
