We spent the long weekend around the house. The weather was fantastic and we just enjoyed our yard, the deck, being outside, etc... We had a *ton* of fun with a new Nerf gun that Matthew got for his birthday, too (it's like therapy to be able to shoot sponge darts at your kids. LOL). At night on Sunday, we stayed out there and sat by the Chiminea. The boys made smores and it was just a great end to a fun day.

Birthday Party!
I'm so glad this has come and gone! We had the party at a "place" this time and not at home. It was pretty fun. The theme was "Clue" and it was about how Pikachu was kidnapped. Some kids had to be suspects and the others were investigators who were trying to figure out "who did it". In one of the pictures, the investigators are asking a suspect some questions and they're taking notes to try to figure it out. It turned out that Clara Pokem was the suspect who stole Pikachu. I actually think the kids had more fun just running around the play place area. ;)

Wacky Wednesday
Today was Wacky Wednesday at the boys' school. They both dressed up. Matthew wore his sweatpants inside out, a blue & red striped shirt and his tie dyed Stitch shirt inside out. Andrew went all out. He had on his pants backwards with a bathing suit on over top. He wore green striped fuzzy socks & his shoes on the wrong feet (he swears he wore them that way all day long, too). He wore his "Robin costume" underneath it all so that the cape would fly out the back. He had on a long sleeved shirt, inside out and then a green Tshirt over top of that inside out. He also put on his sweatjacket with the zipper on his back and his backpack on his chest instead of his back to go up to the bus stop. Andrew was very pleased with his outfit. LOL. Also, when I took their picture, they both decided they needed to "act wacky", so these pictures are a little kookoo. ;)

Happy Anniversary to....
Jim and I. Today marks our 12th year Anniversary. Wow. Where has all the time gone. We're going to spend a quiet day at home and might run to WalMart for a few things. That's super exciting right? LOL. We never do anything major on our anniversary, though. We just like to enjoy each other's company. :)

Chorus Concert
Matthew's Chorus concert was last night and I got some great shots (gotta love the 2nd lens with the awesome zoom!!!). It took me awhile to get the lighting right in the gym (with all those big overhead lights - my pics were all coming out dark at first), but I think I did pretty well with these, even with this stinking microphone in front of him most of the time. ~~~~ For the songs, there were a lot of "arm movements" and the kids were all having such a great time. In the one picture, if you look closely, you can see that Matthew's eyes are crossed! Silly kid.

Happy 10th Birthday to my Matthew
Today is Matthew's 10th birthday. My baby is into double digits. Where in the heck did the time go? All those years ago, that little stinker broke my water with his foot and caused a little panic (I was scheduled for a CSection two weeks later, but we had to rush to the hospital for an emergency Csection after my water broke). He came into this world at only 5 lbs. 6 oz and is still trying to catch up. Some day, I think he'll have a huge growth spurt. The picture is my very first scrapbook page (even before I went to a CM Party) and it's got 4 pictures of baby Matthew on it. Awwww. Matthew has grown into a fine young boy who's very sweet, creative and loving. I hope today is a wonderful day for him.

What a week!
Boy am I glad this week is over. I've just be "go go going" a lot, which is not my favorite thing to do. Matthew had to go to the doctor's because of his allergies, I had my last week of bowling (I did fairly well, nothing to brag about. LOL), I helped out at the boys' school for the book fair and just had tons of different odds & ends to take care of. Today, we had soccer clinic at 9am and then our first game at 10:30am. We lost 3-4..... We have a lot of new kids and they have a lot to learn, but we'll get there. This coaching stuff is hard on many levels and I'm not sure if Jim or I really want to do it again next season, especially since the boys will be in two different leagues (Matthew has to bump up). We'll see. I also baked cookies today and we watched the Kentucky Derby - out of the horses we chose, Andrew had the best placement with 6th place. I hope to have some pictures to share next week and to be a little more "on the ball" with getting some daily posts on here.
